Used on their own our briquettes have an average high heat burn time of 20mins. This can be extended when used with your existing coal or logs making your fuel last longer.

Our briquettes are made from a blend of hardwood chips, shavings and sawdust. We don't use any additional binders or glues.

It is important not to overload your fire or stove due to the high heat output. For a medium fire 2-4 briquettes at a time is sufficient.

Our briquettes have a moisture content of less than 10% which is below the government guidelines.

It is important to keep the product dry and therefore storage not open to the elements is preferred.

Our high quality briquettes are made from the same kiln dried timber you would receive when buying fire logs. However, due to being a densely compacted mixture of sawdust and chippings briquettes take up less room making them easier to store. The high heat burning temperature is comparative to fire logs but their uniform size not only makes them suitable for a range of fire sizes but allows you to calculate your needs giving consistent results each time.

When applied correctly hardwood chippings provide long-lasting coverage and typically take 3-7 years to fully decompose, adding rich nutrients to soil over time. They absorb water making them excellent moisture retainers unlike hard landscaping such as gravel hardwood chippings will maintain moisture levels during dry times. Whilst adding vibrant colour to any border hardwood chippings also act as an excellent weed suppressant.

Hardwood chippings can either be placed onto a weed suppressing membrane or laid directly onto soil.
